(IRNA) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Monday officially welcomed his Zimbabwean counterpart, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, at the Presidential Office.
At the ceremony, after the national anthems of both countries were played, the two presidents reviewed the guard of honor, reports Trend.
Mugabe heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday night. Upon landing at Mehrabad International Airport, the Zimbabwean delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Cooperatives Mohammad Abbassi.
Zimbabwe's ministers of foreign affairs, energy and agriculture had arrived in Tehran earlier.
Several memoranda of understanding are expected to be mutually signed at the end of the visit of the Zimbabwe's delegation.
