Iranians to pay $58 to go abroad

Iran’s next year budget (from March 21, 2020, to March 21, 2021) envisages that Iranian citizens will pay 2.4 million rials (about $58) for their first trip abroad, Trend reports referring to Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization.

The draft budget envisages that Iranian citizens will have to pay 50 percent more (3.9 million rials - about $94) for the second trip abroad, and 100 percent more (5.2 million rials - about $125) for third and more trips.

This year (March 21, 2019, to March 21, 2020), Iranian citizens have to pay 2.2 million rials (about $52) for the first trip abroad, 3.3 million rials (about $78) for the second trip, and 4.4 million rials (about $104) for third and more trips.

The budget bill for next year forecasts tax revenues worth 1.9 quadrillion rials (about $46.4 billion). This figure is projected at 1.7 quadrillion rials (about $40.9 billion) this year.

Iran’s budget of 4.8 quadrillion rials (about $115 billion) for next year (March 21, 2020 - March 21, 2021) has been submitted to the parliament by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Iran’s Cabinet of Ministers approved the budget for next year on Dec. 4. The next year’s budget will be approved by the Iranian parliament after consideration.
