Supporters of the Georgian Opposition movement have gathered in front of the Georgian Parliament, attempting to block traffic on Rustaveli Avenue. They endeavored to break the police cordon, and lined up along the pavement on Rustaveli street.
Currently, the police and protestors are engaged in hand-to-hand fighting, with the police using batons on the protestors. One of the opposition supporters has reportedly been injured in the conflict.
Members of "New Rights", who did not participate in protest actions staged by the Unified opposition, also joined the demonstrators in front of the Georgian Parliament.
