Georgia and Russia Should Seek Compromise – Eduard Shevarnadze
The regulation of Georgian-Russian relations is possible through mutual compromise, Eduard Shevarnadze, the former Georgian President, considers.
"A lot of unsolved problems have accumulated, which both sides may settle through mutual compromise," Shevarnadze said to Caucasus journalists.
Shevarnadze considers that Russia may play a positive role in the regulation of the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetia conflicts.
On 25 January Shevarnadze celebrated his 80th birthday.
