The World Bank (WB) interested in the situation surrounding the Kartu Bank owned by Georgian Billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, and it will mull this issue, Kartu Bank Director General Nodar Javakhishvili said after a meeting with WB Caucasus Regional Department director Assad Alami.
Mr. Javakhishvili informed Mr. Alami about the events after Nov.7, when Mr. Ivanishvili announced his decision to come into politics. He spoke about the political pressure that Mr. Ivanishvili and the bank felt after this announcement.
Mr. Alami said the WB together with the financial institutions - the Bank partners will make specific findings, he said.
