Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York.
During the meeting the sides discussed trade and economic relations between the two countries and agreed to speed up the signing of an agreement on bilateral protection of investments, the Georgian government told Trend Sept. 24. An important role of the South Caucasus Pipeline was stressed at the meeting.
During the meeting, President Erdogan expressed his country's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
"Turkey will support Georgia in the country's integration into Euro-Atlantic organizations," he said.
