The export volume of Georgia’s apples from September 1 through December 5, 2021, amounted to 3,263 tons worth $2.1 million, Trend reports referring to the publication of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.
The largest volume of Georgia’s apple export accounted for Russia (3,257 tons), while the remaining 5 tons of apples were exported to Armenia.
According to the previous statistics, the export volume of Georgia’s apples from September 1 through November 28, 2021, amounted to 2,982 tons worth $1.9 million.
The main exporters were again Russia (2,977 tons) and Armenia (5 tons).
Also, the export price of Georgian apples during the reporting period of 2021 increased by 50 percent amid a decline in apple exports.
