Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from January through November 2021 amounted to 1.1 million tons worth $737.8 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The current index increased by 63.6 percent, compared to $450.9 million worth of oil imports in the same period of 2020, the report said.
TOP-5 petroleum and petroleum oils exporters to Georgia (Jan. through Nov. 2021):
Turkmenistan – $175.7 million (281,470 tons);
Russia – $123.4 million (206,511 tons);
Azerbaijan – $115.2 million (207,034 tons);
Romania – $113.7 million (179,505 tons);
Bulgaria – $108 million (159,724 tons).
Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports from January through November 2021 amounted to $8.9 billion, which is an increase of 24.5 percent, compared to $7.2 billion over the reporting period of 2020.
