Saudi Arabia has called upon those affected of the gas tanker explosion that killed 23 and injured 135 on Thursday to approach newly formed committee from Friday, according to the Saudi News Agency.
The affected are individuals, homeowners and companies, spokesman of Civil Defense Captain Mohammed Al-Hubail Al-Hammadi said while announcing the formation of a committee to assess the damages of the explosion, Xinhua reported.
"The committee will start its works on Friday at the headquarters of Special Emergency Forces of Civil Defense in Al- Salam neighborhood, east of Riyadh, he said.
The spokesperson said that the accident site is safe now and it is free from any residues of gas leakage.
Among injured are 26 Saudis, 67 of various nationalities and 40 are not identified yet, according to Okaz newspaper on Friday.
Of total injured 34 were discharged from hospital, while 90 are still receiving treatment, including 12 at the ICU.
