The OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Monday called on international community to put serious pressure on Israel to reverse its decision on settlement building in East Jerusalem, OIC press service told Trend .
On the meeting with the British Foreign Secretary David Miliband today in London Ihsanoglu conveyed deep concern of the OIC over the recent worrying developments in the occupied territories of Palestine and said that in the view of the OIC, the recent decisions by Israel related to building of 1,600 houses for Jews in East Jerusalem would not only jeopardize the chances of resumption of peace negotiations but also create an atmosphere of confrontation.
