Experts from the U.S. arrived in San Andres Colombian Island of Colombia on Tuesday to help investigate the cause of a plane crash that killed one woman and injured more than 100 others, Xinhua reported.

Experts from the U.S. arrived in San Andres Colombian Island of Colombia on Tuesday to help investigate the cause of a plane crash that killed one woman and injured more than 100 others, Xinhua reported.

The experts will analyze the wreckage of the plane and decide when to remove it from the crash site at the local airport, Pedro Gallardo, governor of San Andres, told local radio station RCN.

The black box has been retrieved from the remains of the plane and is under analysis.

On Monday, a plane of the airline Aires carrying 131 passengers was hit by a lighting at the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport. Its fuselage broke into three parts, its remains spread on the track.

At least 125 people were sent to medical centers in San Andres and a woman lost her life due to a heart attack when she was being transferred to a hospital.
