Thailand issued a warning Monday about a new outbreak of H1N1, or swine flu, in the country after confirming three deaths and 338 new cases due to the virus last week, reported DPA.

Health Minister Jurin Laksanavisit confirmed cases of H1N1 had reached 11,154 this year. Altogether 66 people have died of the virus since it was first detected in Thailand in 2008.

Bangkok reported the highest infection rate for the virus in the country at 19.8 for every 100,000 people, Jurin said.

Jurin urged people suffering from symptoms of the virus to seek urgent treatment.
