The Taliban on Thursday claimed responsibility for an ambush that killed at least seven private security guards in western Afghanistan, DPA reported.
"A group of armed men attacked a convoy belonging to a private company that provides logistics for international forces," said Naqibullah Farahi, the spokesman for the provincial governor of Farah.
Farahi said 10 vehicles, including a tank and jeeps, were destroyed in the attack, in which 10 more guards were wounded.
