Suspicious package found near White House, area cordoned off

The police in Washington have cordoned off the White House after a suspicious package was found in a nearby park, the RIA Novosti agency reported citing FoxNews.

The special service officials confirmed that the package was found in the Lafayette Square Park.

Bomb technicians are working at the scene, the central police department said.
