6.3-magnitude quake hits north of Madang, Papua New Guinea

A 6.3-magnitude earthquake has shaken Papua New Guinea, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center said Jan.27.

The epicenter of the quake was located 113 kilometers north of the Madang city. The seismic center was located at a depth of 40 kilometers.

There have been no reports about victims or possible damages.
