Turkish holding Albayraklar and Malaysian company Dian Synergy have signed agreements on cooperation in the defense industry, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish holding.

The holding will establish exports of stun guns worth $5 million to Malaysia.

Albayraklar will also export stun guns to such countries as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, and Albania.

“For the export of stun guns to the Balkan countries, agreements were signed with the Croatian company Kalender Consulting,” said the holding.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier said that Turkey will strengthen defense industry and will become a world leader in the manufacture of defense products.

Erdogan noted that no obstacles can stop the development of Turkey's defense industry.

He noted that mass production of Turkish ALTAY tanks will soon begin.

In the recent years, Turkey has invested about $35 billion in the defense industry.
