The political consultations were held between the Georgian and Turkish foreign ministries in Tbilisi. A Georgian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania, but the Turkish delegation was led by Deputy Minister Ali Kemal Aydin.
The Turkish delegation on a visit to Georgia was received by the First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani as part of the consultations.
It was stressed at the meeting that the two countries continue close political cooperation. The active dynamics of mutual exchange of visits by senior officials, as well as the heads of the departments is observed, the Georgian foreign ministry said Oct. 28.
The Turkish side reaffirmed support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as the country's integration into NATO.
