Turkish Airlines plane returns to Istanbul due to terrorist attack threat

An aircraft of Turkish Airlines has retuned to Istanbul due to the threat of a terrorist attack, Turkish media reported Apr.17.
Reportedly, the aircraft was flying from Istanbul to Basle.
After the plane took off from Istanbul, a note was found on the plane's board saying that allegedly, there is an explosive device on board, according to media reports.
After the plane landed at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, a group of anti-bomb squad arrived at the scene and all the passengers of the plane were evacuated, said the report.
However, no explosive device was found in the airliner, according to the Turkish media report.
This is the second time in April that Turkish Airlines made an emergency landing due to the threat of terrorist attack.
A plane of Turkish Airlines, flying on Istanbul-Lisbon route in early April, had to return to the departure airport due to the received information about an explosive device on the board.
