Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his U.S. counterpart James Mattis discussed bilateral defense relations in a phone call Monday, presidential sources said, Turkish media reported.
Akar and Mattis also exchanged views on the current situation of bilateral relations between Turkey and the U.S., Syria and the fight against terrorism, the sources added.
