Cargo transshipment volumes from Portugal via Turkish ports disclosed

Cargo transshipment from Portugal through ports of Turkey amounted to 186,874 tons in January 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.

Last month, the volume of cargo transshipment from Portugal via Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 3,125 tons, while the ships flying the Portuguese flag carried 30,655 tons of cargo, and ships flying flags of other countries accounted for the remaining 153,094 tons.

Over the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment in transit from Portugal via Turkey's ports amounted to 29,461 tons.

The total cargo transshipment through ports of Turkey exceeded 32.9 million tons in January 2020.

Cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.4 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying flags of their country of origin amounted to over 1.5 million tons, while the vessels flying flags of other countries carried just over 29 million tons of cargo.

In total, over 6.1 million tons of cargo were transported through Turkish ports.
