As many as 4,583 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Uzbekistan from January through March 2020, which is by 11 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND) on April 28.
"For the reporting period, 1.5 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment by trucks from Turkey accounted for Uzbekistan," the association said.
According to the association, 1,380 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Uzbekistan in March 2020, which is 30 percent less compared to March 2019.
“From January through March 2020, 327 Uzbek trucks transported cargo from Uzbekistan to Turkey, which is by 120 percent more than in the same period of 2019,” the association noted.
Meanwhile, in March 2020, 301 Uzbek trucks transported cargo from Uzbekistan to Turkey, which is by 291 percent more than in the same month of 2019.
In total, 290,069 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad from January through March 2020, which is 3 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
Some 78,646 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad in March 2020, which is 26 percent less compared to March 2019.
