Turkey's trade with Iran in January 2021 decreased by over $4.4 million compared to the same month of 2020, making up over $284.3 million, Trend reports on Mar.2 referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
In the reporting month, Turkey's exports to Iran amounted to slightly over $144.5 million, and imports from Iran – over $139.7 million,” the ministry said.
In 2020, the trade turnover between the two countries rose by more than $187.2 million year on year, making up over $2.2 billion.
Meanwhile, value of the country’s export to Iran amounted to over $1.8 billion and the import from Iran - $366 million.
In January 2021, Turkey's trade turnover amounted to over $34.2 billion.
As of late January this year, Turkey's exports decreased by 2.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $15.4 billion, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Turkey's imports decreased by 5.9 percent on an annualized basis, settling at $18.7 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover made up over $388.8 billion in 2020.
