There are many lessons that the world can learn from Azerbaijan, member of UK Parliament Sir Tony Baldry said.

"I certainly think that we all looking to see what lessons can be learned from a fundamentally secular but Muslim state, such as Azerbaijan," Sir Baldry said in an interview with Trend in Baku.

Baldry is on a two-day visit to Azerbaijan. Besides Baldry, a delegation includes the member of UK Parliament, former defense minister Peter Luff and Rector of the London Academy of Diplomacy Nabil Ayad.

"Azerbaijan has very successfully managed to establish a mutual tolerance for all ethnic groups," Sir Baldry said.

Sir Baldry is a member of the Parliament for North Oxfordshire. He held various ministerial posts from 1990, serving as Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

He also served as State Minister in the governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He was a representative of the Church of England in the House of Commons.
