The talks on the belonging of Nakhchivan [Azerbaijani area] to Armenia are amazing, Reno Harnish, the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told journalists on Wednesday.
Commenting on the materials indicating Nakhchivan and Nagorno-Karabakh as historical lands of Azerbaijan, placed in the official website of the U.S. embassy in Armenia, Harnish said that it was only an �elementary mistake’.
В"The United States recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and carries out active work to achieve the resolution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Harnish underlined, noting the efforts taken by the US government under the OSCE Minsk group.
Commenting on the fact Tahir Tagizada, the head of the Information Department of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stressed the unacceptability of the reality by diplomatic corps and noted the necessity for its detailed investigation.
