A group of the activists of the Karabakh Liberation Organzation (KLO) atempted to hold a protest action at front of the U.S. embassy on Wednesday at 13.00pm. The activists aproached to the embassy, but the police did not allow them to hold the action, KLO told Trend.
There was confrontation between the police and the participants of the action. Several people were arrested and taken to police station.
The activists were moved away from the embassy during the several minutes KLO holds a series of actions in protest to fraternity of Montebello city, California, the United States, and Khankandi (Stepanakert), [the self-declared Nagorno Karabakh Republic]. The activists of the organization call on the United States, France and Russia as OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman-countries not to demonstrate biased position contradictory to Azerbaijan’s national interests.
