Azerbaijan and Poland have broad opportunities for expanding the cooperation in the agricultural and industrial sectors, ICT, tourism, power energy and others, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev said June 2.
Mustafayev made this statement at a meeting with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński, who was on a visit to Azerbaijan, the ministry said.
Besides the officials, the entrepreneurs, working in the industrial, energy, construction, financial, environmental and other spheres, attended the meeting.
Piechociński said that the political relations between Azerbaijan and Poland are at a high level.
He said that Poland is interested in expanding the ties with Azerbaijan.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland was $ 18.2 million in January-April 2015, which is 1.7 times less than in the same period of last year. Today, more than 87 percent of trade transactions between the two countries accounted for the import of Polish goods.
