Uzbek second largest bank increases assets

The assets of the Asaka State Joint Commercial Bank amounted to 7.65 trillion Uzbek soums in January-June 2016, the bank’s management told Trend July 21.

The official exchange rate is 2958.87 UZS/USD July 21.

Asaka State Joint-Stock Commercial Bank is the second largest bank in Uzbekistan on the amount of main banking indexes.

The bank's assets calculated upon the national accounting standards totaled 7.4 trillion soums as of 2015, while the total assets increased by 3.4 percent in January-June 2016.

According to the message, in the total asset structure, Asaka's volume of credit investments, including leasing amounted to 3.87 trillion soums versus 3.4 trillion soums as of 2015 (a 13.8 percent growth), of which 91.8 percent accounted for the long-term loans.

The balance on deposit accounts of the population increased by 17.8 percent - up to 705.9 billion soums since the beginning of 2016, the message said.

According to the message, Asaka's equity increased by 6.6 percent - up to 976.1 billion soums.

Asaka bank was established in 1996. The bank is mainly involved in lending to the automotive industry.

Asaka's total assets increased by 37.5 percent and totaled 7.4 trillion soums in 2015 as compared to 2014. This is while its equity increased by 14.2 percent and stood at 915.7 billion soums.
