On the results of August the exchange rate of the national currency strengthened by 1.26%. The strengthening was 59,10 manat points, the Baku Inter-bank Currency Exchange (BICE) told Trend.
Thus, if the exchange rate of manat was 4682 manats for 1 USD earlier in the month, then on the results of the month it was 4622,9 manats for 1 USD.
At the result, the average weighed rate of AZM against US dollar was 4653,3 manats for 1 USD, while in July this year it was equal to 4698,21.
On the results of the 8 months of the current year, revaluation of the exchange rate of manat towards USD was 5,71% against 0,47% for the similar period of 2004.
