Kazakhstan has decreased oil, coal and iron ore production in January-July 2014 compared to the same period of 2013

Kazakhstan has decreased oil, coal and iron ore production in January-July 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Kazakh Statistics Agency reported on Aug. 12.

Meanwhile natural gas and non-ferrous metals production and oil refining increased in the reporting period.

Kazakhstan decreased oil including gas condensate production by 1.6 percent to 46.7 million tonnes in the first seven months of 2014. Copper ore production fell by 7.2 percent to 22.4 million tonnes, refined copper production decreased by 28.9 percent to 0.2 million tonnes.

Gasoline production rose by 16.1 percent to 1.7 million tonnes, gas oil (diesel fuel) production decreased by 7.6 percent.

Electric power production rose by 0.5 percent to 53.9 billion kilowatt-hours in the reporting period.
In general the industrial production in Kazakhstan decreased by 0.3 percent in January-July 2014.
