SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, has won a tender of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry to supply 9,000 tons of jet fuel worth about $7 million, a source in SOCAR told Trend Mar. 31.
SOCAR won two lots for the supply of 6,100 and 2,900 tons, respectively.
“The deal’s total value will be almost 186 million hryvnias or $6.88 million. Jet fuel produced at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery is planned to be supplied to Ukraine,” the source said.
SOCAR exported 10,940 tons of aviation fuel in January-February 2017, as compared to 65,750 tons in the same period of 2016.
SOCAR, aside from its subsidiary SOCAR Energy, also have a network of 60 filling stations in Ukraine.
