The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced a tender on sale of 1 million barrels (135,000 tons) of Azeri Light from the Georgian Black Sea port of Supsa. Trend was told at the SOCAR the tender will be closed on 14 September, while the oil delivery is scheduled for 6-7 October.
The winner of the previous tender was the German trader Select Energy GMBH, which was committed to deliver oil from Supsa from 30 September to 1 October. This year Select Energy GMBH two times won a tender announced by the SOCAR of sale of oil from Supsa.
In September partners of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), who are involved in the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields plan to ship 430,000 tons of oil from Supsa by 4 tankers consignments.
