The fastest growing mobile operator of Azerbaijan Nar Mobile made a presentation of a new product Nar Home in partnership with BBTV in the city of Nakhchivan of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on Jan.14. Mr. Rovshan Mammadov, Minister of Communications and New Technologies of Nakhchivan and other high ranking officials participated at the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, the minister underlined that the transition of living districts in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to the digital standards of TV broadcasting was completed successfully on the basis of decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan which puts an end to the analog TV broadcasting starting from December 2014. This means that the Nakhchivan population got access to the digital broadcasting from end of 2014.

Mr. Oleg Popov, BBTV General Director presented fundamental features of Nar Home and its advantages for Nar subscribers.

"BBTV became the ice-breaker that started commercial TV services for the first time in Azerbaijan, and I am delighted to showcase another innovative step. This is the launch of digital TV broadcasting that ensures quality and image coupled with the broadcasting stability several times better than the analog one", - he said in his speech.

Mr. Popov went on by sharing his vision on the future of Nar Home services. He added that the transition to digital services has already taken place in many countries worldwide, and now, the turn is for Nakhchivan where 67 TV channels, including HD channels are available from now on.

"We plan to cover the majority of living districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by digital broadcasting services in 2015", he noted.
