The Azerbaijani Azersun Holding Company plans to begin exporting products to Europe and the USA, board chairman of the company, Abdolbari Gozel said in an interview with the international journal The Business Year.
"We are currently exploring markets in several European countries and the USA. In the coming years, we will enter these countries' markets with some of our products," Gozel said.
He said the main countries of the export map are Russia, Georgia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
"We also supply our products to the Middle East," Gozel said.
He said one of the main purposes of the Holding is to achieve a leading position in the foreign food markets.
"It's mainly concerns Georgia and other CIS countries. The great volume of production of our enterprises allows us to be a leader in food production in Azerbaijan," Gozel said.
Founded in Azerbaijan in 1991, the group of companies known as Azersun Holding is today a leading corporation in food production, trade and agriculture in the country.
