Iran and Tajikistan discuss cooperation

Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi held a meeting with Iranian Energy Deputy Minister Ismail Mahsouli who is on visit to Dushanbe, Tajik Foreign Ministry reported on August 7.

Within the meeting, the parties exchanged views on ways directed at further strengthen of bilateral relations as well as discussed the preparation of the official visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Tajikistan.

Moreover, Nizomiddin Zohidi and Ismail Mahsouli discussed the implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Tajik-Iranian commission on trade economic and scientific-technical cooperation.

Tajikistan and Iran have more than 100 important agreements on cooperation which regulate the bilateral relations. Over 200 Iranian companies are successfully working in Tajikistan.
