Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Oct. 29

By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend:

Toyly Atayev was appointed Turkmenistan's ambassador to Poland, according to a presidential decree promulgated Oct. 29.

Atayev will also simultaneously remain Turkmenistan's authorized representative in Germany, with a residence in Berlin.

Poland has a favorable geographical location in the center of Europe, which allows actively developing the transit routes for energy supplies from the Caspian region to Europe, which is an important momentum for developing the mutually beneficial cooperation.

Turkmenistan sells gas at its borders, and independent Western auditors confirmed significant reserves of this fuel.

At this stage, the talks are underway with the EU and Azerbaijan, which may become a party to a joint trans-Caspian gas pipeline project as a transiting country.
