The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov has approved the state budget for 2016.
Income in the amount of 102.478 billion Turkmen manats and expenditures in the amount of 104.878 billion Turkmen manats have been approved in the budget, as well as income in the amount of 18.205 billion Turkmen manats and expenditures in the amount of 20.605 billion Turkmen manats have been approved in the first level budget.
The budget deficit ceiling of Turkmenistan for 2016 in the amount of 2.4 billion Turkmen manats has also been established.
The source of budget deficit repayment is the remains of budgetary funds as of January 1, 2016, according to the document
The official rate of the Turkmen manat to 1 US dollar remains at 3.50 Turkmen manats since January 2015.
The law says that wages, pensions, state allowances and scholarships are the protected articles of expenditures of the state budget of Turkmenistan.
