France is an advanced country in the fields of electricity, telecommunication, and electronics and Iran can use their technology, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mojtaba Khosrotaj said.

He also said that the European countries prefer to invest in places where raw material abound, ISNA news agency reported August 24.

"The future European market for us will be based on Iranian energy resources including oil products, petrochemicals, as well as some light industries," he said.
"Before the sanctions, a great part of our petrochemical products would go to Europe . So, with the new atmosphere, we can be hopeful to be able to sell such products to Europe which needs them."

According to Khosrotaj , Iran 's export to Europe before the sanctions mainly consisted of handicraft, carpet, dry goods, saffron, etc.

After international sanctions intensified against Iran and the early 2010s, the county was practically cut off from business relations with the world, the West in particular.

But on July 14, Iran managed to reach a deal with the group P5+1 (the US, UK , France , Russia , China , and Germany ) which is expected to lift the sanctions.
