By Khalid Kazimov -- Trend:

After sanctions on Iran are removed, the country will be able to offer services abroad, including South America.

Oil and Gas Director at MAPNA (Iranian holding company) Vahid Moayer said Iranian companies have previously worked in Venezuela, adding that his company can offer service to South America after the sanctions' removal, IRNA news agency reported Sept. 8.

"Our company would often take part in international tenders but due to the sanctions it would be disregarded," he said.

Moayer added Iranian companies could find good opportunities in neighboring Iraq as well.

There are good projects in the upstream oil industry in Oman that can be considered after the sanctions are lifted, he said.

Central Asia is another area with high potentials for work, he noted.

Moayer added that Turkmenistan could be a good market for Iranian companies both in offshore and at sea.

The sanctions are to be lifted according to a comprehensive agreement between Iran and world power reached July 14.
