Annual loading, unloading at Iranian ports up by 22%

Total amount of the goods loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports over the last fiscal year (starts on March 20) increased by 22 percent compared to the preceding year.

According to the latest statistics by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization, 306.663 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at about 28 ports across the country over the mentioned period.

The statistics also suggest that the volume of the non-oil products (loaded and unloaded), has increased by eight percent, reaching 111.323 million tons.

In the meantime, the figure for oil products hiked by 31 percent as 195.339 million tons of commodities and crude oil were loaded and unloaded in the mentioned period.

Meanwhile, 238.284 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country’s ports.

The figure for loading of oil products and crude oil in the mentioned period stood at 171.045 million tons.

According to the statistics, 24.293 million tons of oil products and crude oil were unloaded in the mentioned period.

Iran also unloaded 44.085 million tons of non-oil products at its ports over the mentioned period.
