Writing final nuclear agreement difficult, but possible – Iran ’s Zarif

Tehran, Iran, Apr. 15

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that although writing the final nuclear agreement is difficult, it is possible nonetheless.

"It is very hard to predict," he answered when asked how optimistic he is about the final agreement. "I feel that once the Western countries accept that pressure and agreement are not compatible, I believe that reaching an agreement would not be difficult."

The Western countries can choose between sanctions, which they have been trying in the past 9 years, and making a deal with Iran ; and if they choose right, it will not be hard to reach an agreement, he said, IRNA news agency reported April 15.

He further stated that drafting the agreement is difficult especially because six countries stand on one side and one country on the other.

Since there are differences between the six countries, writing a final agreement is a tough job, but I believe that it is doable through political will, Zarif reiterated.

Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached a framework agreement on Tehran 's nuclear program on April 2.

The have decided to strike a comprehensive deal by July 1. The deal provisions the removal of all international sanctions on Iran and in return narrowing the range of the country's nuclear activities.
