Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that sanctions and pressures against the Islamic Republic are not acceptable.

"We condemn the sanctions against Iran and believe that it is ineffective," Rouhani said, the official website of the president said May 18.

Rouhani made the remarks during a visit with Hungarian foreign minister Péter Szijjártó in Tehran.

He further said that "good progresses" were made in the negotiations with the P5+1(the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) over the Islamic Republic's disputed nuclear program.

Iran and the P5+1 reached a nuclear framework agreement on April 2 in Lausanne that raised hopes for achieving a comprehensive nuclear deal by June 30.

The deal stipulates the removal of all international sanctions on Iran in return narrowing the range of Iran's nuclear activities.

If the counter side has serious intention, a final agreement would be achievable before the deadline, Rouhani said.

He further said that Iran has proved that it is transparent regards the issue and attended the nuclear talks with a strong will.

Iran's nuclear activities are under supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rouhani said, adding the Islamic Republic's peaceful nuclear activities will continue.
