Some 993,600 hectares were plowed for winter crops. The grain was sown at 852,400 hectares of land, of which 535,200 hectares or 62.8 percent of wheat, 317,200 hectares or 37.2 percent - barley.

During the reporting period, the country produced 428,700 tons of meat in live weight, 1.78 million tons of milk, 1.4 billion eggs and 16,800 tons of wool. The meat production increased by 1.8 percent, milk - by 4.2 percent, wool - by 1.4 percent, egg production decreased by 1.6 percent in the country during this period compared to January-November 2014.

The decline in production of eggs in large poultry farms caused a decrease in egg production in the country. Old chickens were replaced by young ones at many poultry farms due to the rise in price of feed and medicaments for chickens. Some farms began producing only chickens. As a result, the share of agricultural enterprises producing eggs has decreased from 44.8 to 41 percent.
