Nine female political prisoners are on a hunger strike in Iran's Evin prison, the website close to Hossein Mousavi, Kalemeh reported.
The reason for hunger strike is protest against physical inspections inside the prison, the website says.
The deteailed female prisoners demand the prison authorities to issue an "apology" for such inspections, as they assess as "offensive".
Nasrin Sotoudeh, a 47 year old human rights lawyer, activist from Iran is also on the hunger strike against the prison conditions in Iran.
Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani, Iran's judicial system head has said earlier that the prisons in Iran are in fact much better than those in countries which claim to have better situation with human rights, Mehr reported.
