Lebanon filed a complaint Saturday to the UN Security Council over the attack on the Lebanese embassy in Tripoli and the burning of the Lebanese flag, dpa reported.
Lebanese President Michel Suleiman said: "It is a blatant attack on Lebanon's sovereignty."
The UN Security Council on Thursday approved a no-fly zone over Libya and authorized "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Gaddafi's forces.
The Lebanese foreign ministry also filed a similar complaint with the Arab League's general secretariat.
