PACE observation delegation is mainly concerned with the question of polarization, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze said. In general, attitude of the delegation is positive, he said after meeting with the delegation.
"They see how much has been done and is being done in Georgia, for elections to be democratic and free," he said.
On the other hand, he said, they are concerned about the problems that exist in the current election environment. Basically it is the polarization, which is the foundation of so many problems, Bakradze said.
"We all know where the polarization of the electoral process comes from. National Movement in recent years has done much to reduce the polarization, but, unfortunately, in the last eight months by not our fault Georgian political spectrum again deeply polarized. Therefore, according to the delegation, it creates problems in the electoral process," Bakradze said.
He said the PACE delegation will be one of the observation mission, which will be able to give an objective and complete assessment of the elections.
Parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held on October 1.
