Georgian State Minister for Diaspora Affairs Konstantin Surguladze met on June 17 with the Director of the Russia and Eurasia Program of the U.S. Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Andrew Kuchins.
The state minister's office told Trend that the CSIS holds global policy research in economy and safety issues related to the U.S., including areas of international relations, technologies, energy industry and geo-strategy.
During the meeting the parties discussed the project on assisting the development of the diaspora entrepreneurship, as well as prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation.
The abovementioned project was initiated by the state minister's office.
Andrew Kuchins also had consultations on the main areas of cooperation between Georgia and the U.S., and in particular on the new draft project known as CSIS Eurasia from Inside Out.
This project is aimed at promoting the economic development of the partner countries.
