Around 6.9 percent (63,273) of voters from Tbilisi have today voted in the second round of the municipal elections in Georgia as of 10:00 (local time), or one percent more than in the first round of the elections.

Around 6.9 percent (63,273) of voters from Tbilisi have today voted in the second round of the municipal elections in Georgia as of 10:00 (local time), or one percent more than in the first round of the elections, Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) told reporters on July 12.

The candidate from the 'Georgian Dream' coalition, David Narmania and the candidate of the oppositional 'United National Movement' party, Nika Melia compete in the second round of elections for the post of Tbilisi mayor.

Narmania and Melia gathered about 46.2 percent and 27.2 percent of votes respectively, in the first round of the municipal elections held on June 15.

Moreover, the mayors of seven more cities, and 13 heads of local administration will also be elected.

Some 11 percent of voters throughout Georgia have voted in the second round of the municipal elections as of the mentioned time.
