Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has met with Japan's ambassador to Georgia Toshio Kaitani.
They discussed the details of Margvelashvili's official visit to Japan scheduled for Oct.21, Georgian Presidential Administration told Trend on Oct.17.
During the five-day visit, Georgian president is expected to meet with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and other officials of the country.
The two sides also touched upon the situation in Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia and Russia's project to sign an integration agreement with this region.
The ambassador expressed Japan's full support to Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
