The winter issue of the American-Turkish journal Birlik was published in Berkley, U.S., with the support of the Azerbaijani-American Council, Azeris, American-Azerbaijani organization, said.

The winter issue of the American-Turkish journal Birlik was published in Berkley, U.S., with the support of the Azerbaijani-American Council, Azeris, American-Azerbaijani organization, said.

The journal features an interview with the founder of "fuzzy logic" Lutfi Zade, a renowned scholar of Azeri origin from California University.

The issue is devoted to the rights of the Turkish speaking population in the Autonomous Region of Uigur in China.

The Birlik journal, translated as "unity," publishes materials covering culture, history, politics and economics of Turkish speaking nations.

The first issue was published in 2008, and was the first Turkish journal in Northern America.
