Azerbaijan strengthens fighting against cyber crime within Organization of Islamic Cooperation

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), functioning under the State Security Agency of Special Communication and Information of the Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan, became the member of the Computer Emergency Response Team of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-CERT), the official website of CERT reported on Monday.

The main goal of OIC-CERT is the creation of a platform for the member-states for the research and development of joint initiatives and the possible partnership on the issues of cyber security.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed and adopted the resolution on "Cooperation (CERT) among OIC member-states "in 2008.

Currently, the member sates of OIC-CERT are: Malaysia, Turkey, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt, UAE, Libya, Morocco,Indonesia, Brunei, Syria, Oman, Jordan and Sudan.
